April 29: I-COMM Introduction / John Thompson
For a job after school you must have experience. I-Comm is a great way to get that experience. There are several different parts that make up the team of I-Comm.

3. Section 3~ Advertising/Public Relations Agency, Design, Sales
SWOT: Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats. I-Comm helps us to become more versatile.

May 3: News/ Journalism / Lane Williams
You must jump in with both feet and be dedicated to being better than the rest. Don’t go half in, broaden your horizons.
• You are a Comm Major; if you aren’t reading the newspaper, who is?
• Facts are declining and opinions rising.
• Don’t just learn to write; learn to write about something.
• Demand for news is growing just in different forms.

May 10: Visual Communication Emphasis / Caryn Esplin
There are more and more jobs in this area.
• Bottom of the industry: Reporter, broadcaster, photo journalist
• Top of the industry: marketer, advertising, social media.
Graduates wish they had learned more about visual media and second, writing.
